High School Essay Contest 2015 - 2016 The Florida Independent Concrete and Associated Products Association (FICAP) is sponsoring the annual High School Essay on Concrete Contest for Florida and your students are invited to participate. All entries into FICAP’s Essay Contest will be judged by a panel of industry personnel and FICAP will.First Lady Ann Scott said, “We are very excited to recognize the Florida K-12 students who participated in the 2015 Black History Month art and essay contests. I have traveled across our beautiful state, and have had many opportunities to visit elementary, middle, and high schools.Theme of 2020 Essay: Music - A Magic Carpet (For 2021: Music - Is a Storyteller) 2. Essay MUST be typed and no longer than 500 words. Essay is judged on content, neatness and legibility. The current year’s theme and entrant’s name must be typed at the top of the first page.
All Florida elementary schools are asked to hold an essay contest among their 5th grade students. Each school must choose one “School Winner” to submit to the Essay Contest Coordinator. Participants should develop their thoughts into an essay no longer than one (1) typewritten or two (2) handwritten pages.The Florida Writers Association Collection is an annual writing competition that showcases member writing and helps members grow their skills. Each year, entrants write to a theme and sixty submissions are chosen for publication. A “Person of Renown” chooses ten stories for special recognition.
