Winners announced in Black History Month essay contest.
In recognition of Law Day, May 1, 2020, the National Center for State Courts is sponsoring a contest for elementary, middle school, and high school students. The contest entries will be divided into three groups: 3rd-5th graders, 6th-8th graders and 9th-12th graders. To enter the PARC Essay Scholarship Contest, eligible students must write an original essay of 500 words or fewer responding to an essay prompt provided at the PARC website. Applicants must be high school seniors who are a resident of Placer, Nevada or El Dorado County, CA (but may attend school in another county). Must be in good academic standing, on track to graduate. In cooperation with the Woodbridge Township School District, the Historic Preservation Commission sponsored an essay contest for 7th grade students in the five Middle Schools of the township school system.
