CONTEST IS CLOSED CONTEST RULES. This contest is open to any 8th grade student currently enrolled in a school located in a CITY or VILLAGE in New York State. If you are unsure whether your school is located within a city or village, please click HERE to view a list of towns, villages and cities in New York State. If you have students who live in the village, but the school is located in a town.Since 1979, the Respect Life Apostolate has sponsored an annual writing competition for 8th grade students planning to attend a Catholic high school or accredited Catholic home school program. (Catholic students entering a public high school are also encouraged to enter as they're still eligible for an honorable mention prize). About the Contest.The MMA invites 8th grade students in your community to participate in this year’s essay contest. We are asking that the CMO complete the commitment form, found below, giving the MMA permission to contact the schools in your community to invite them to participate. Participation by your schools is optional.

In recognition of Law Day, May 1, 2020, the National Center for State Courts is sponsoring a contest for elementary, middle school, and high school students.
